Production Associate (Night Shift)

About the role

Champion Foods, a pizza producer owned by Ilitch, is hiring a Production Associate for its night shift at a 144,000-square-foot bakery in Gaffney, South Carolina. The associate takes part in producing items at the bakery and is trained to operate the various stations along the production line.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general inspections, refill ingredients and packaging supplies as directed, and carry out other duties assigned during production.
• Follow safety, operation, quality and sanitation procedures for equipment at the workstation.
• Ensure quality control in the area of responsibility, including proper assembly, storage, tracking and handling of materials.
• Monitor product quality standards and report defects to the line lead or supervisor.
• Keep tools, equipment and the work area clean and sanitary, and comply with food safety and legal requirements.
• Meet throughput standards and quality requirements, and work toward the goals of the work area.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to communicate in English or with a translator.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Able to lift, push or pull objects up to 50 pounds; potential exposure to hot and cold temperatures.
