Production Associate - 3rd Shift

About the role

A Production Associate works the 3rd shift at an Ilitch bakery, helping produce baked goods. The associate is trained to operate the various stations along the production line and follows safety, quality and sanitation procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general inspections, refill ingredients and packaging supplies and carry out other duties assigned during production.
• Follow correct safety, operation, quality and sanitation procedures for equipment at the workstation.
• Ensure quality control in the area of responsibility, including proper assembly, storage, tracking and handling of materials.
• Monitor product quality standards and report defects to the line lead or supervisor.
• Keep tools, equipment and the work area clean and sanitary, and comply with food safety and legal requirements.
• Meet operational throughput standards and quality requirements, and work toward the goals of the work area.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to communicate in English or with a translator.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality; ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Team player with a positive attitude and respect for others.
