Product Manager, Platform Tools

About the role

Column is building a modern banking platform and needs its first Product Manager to own a brand‑new Risk platform. You will define the product vision, turn manual risk processes into a shipped internal tool, and eventually expose it as an external offering for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end roadmap for the Risk platform, turning a vision into a shipped product.
• Design and integrate AI‑driven decision making, deciding which judgments stay human and which become automated.
• Collaborate directly with the Founder/CEO, General Counsel, and Chief Compliance Officer to gather requirements and feedback.
• Write detailed specs and PRDs, and work closely with engineering to push PRs and features.
• Define success metrics, monitor them, and iterate on the product based on data.
• Scale the internal platform into an external product that other fintechs can plug into.

Required profile

• 4+ years in a high‑agency, fast‑moving role such as product management, consulting, or investment.
• Proven ability to take an undefined, messy problem and ship a working solution.
• Comfortable getting technical quickly, using the terminal and AI‑coding tools.
• Strong analytical instincts with experience working with granular data and metrics.
• Scrappy, roll‑up‑your‑sleeves attitude with zero ego.
• Genuine curiosity about banking and fintech, even if not previously experienced.
