Product Engineering Support Specialist

About the role

Join 3M as a Product Engineering Support Specialist and work alongside innovative colleagues worldwide. You will act as a technical lead, supporting product, process, and sustaining activities that drive growth, quality, and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical interactions with cross‑functional teams, including marketing, manufacturing, supply chain, sales, quality, and regulatory.
• Explore, develop, and sustain technologies, processes, and approaches for accelerated business growth.
• Travel to manufacturing facilities to develop, validate, and improve processes and product performance.
• Manage change related to product modifications, life‑cycle management, quality improvements, supply changes, regulatory requirements, and cost reduction.
• Collaborate with suppliers and service providers on production and product changes.
• Review intellectual property positions, including patents and trade‑secrets, at the business level.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a physical science from an accredited institution.
• At least two years of experience with manufacturing technologies such as extrusion and molding.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and work effectively in cross‑functional teams.
