Product Development Specialist – Technical Applications Group

About the role

The Product Development Specialist joins Nestlé's Technical Applications Group (TAG) to lead recipe creation, reformulation and rapid prototyping for pizza and snacking brands. You will work hands‑on in pilot plants and factories, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver innovative and renovated products that delight consumers.

Key responsibilities

• Implement Innovation & Renovation strategies, leading product formulation, pilot‑scale trials and ensuring projects meet cost, quality and consumer expectations.
• Introduce new products and processes, coordinating R&D, engineering, quality, regulatory and supply‑chain partners to industrialize and launch innovations.
• Continuously improve existing products and processes, driving technical projects that enhance quality, compliance and cost efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to Nestlé, external and regulatory standards, acting as Quality Lead on assigned projects.
• Provide first‑line technical support to factories on ingredients, recipes and processing to maintain consistent high‑quality production.

Required profile

• BS or MS in Food Science, Bakery Science, Food Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of product or process development experience in CPG, preferably bakery, confectionery or cereal science.
• Hands‑on baking skills and experience with recipe development and rapid prototyping.
• Willingness to travel 25‑35 % of the time.
