Product Counsel – AI & Financial Services

About the role

Cloaked, a consumer‑privacy and identity platform, is building AI‑native products that protect personal data and enable secure financial transactions. The Product Counsel will act as a core legal partner to Product, Engineering, Compliance, and business teams, shaping the next generation of AI‑enabled privacy, identity, and financial‑services offerings, with a focus on Cloaked Pay.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as embedded Product Counsel for Cloaked Pay and other AI‑driven privacy and financial‑services products from ideation through launch and ongoing operation.
• Advise on product features where legal or regulatory answers are unclear, including AI‑driven workflows, automated decision‑making, personalization, data use, and consumer‑facing claims.
• Translate privacy, financial‑services, consumer‑protection, and emerging AI regulations into product architecture, user experiences, disclosures, controls, and operating workflows.
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements such as enterprise, partnership, vendor, AI/data, and payments contracts.
• Structure relationships with banks, payment processors, model and infrastructure providers, and other strategic partners.
• Support adjacent corporate and general legal matters as needed within a lean legal team.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal qualification.
• Significant experience in financial‑services regulation, privacy law, and emerging AI governance.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with product, engineering, design, and compliance teams.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a product‑counseling mindset.
