Procurement Senior Specialist – Filling & Chemical Services

About the role

The USAC Procurement Senior Specialist for Filling & Chemical Services will act as a strategic individual contributor within 3M's Procurement organization. You will support complex category spend, shape sourcing strategies, and drive cost and cash savings across multiple 3M businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Lead category strategy and strategic procurement activities for Filling and Chemical Services within Third Party Services across USAC.
• Drive cost reduction, working capital improvement, supplier consolidation, and supply‑resilience initiatives.
• Serve as the primary procurement contact for assigned suppliers, handling selection, negotiation, performance improvement, and long‑term relationship development.
• Lead complex sourcing projects, including dual‑sourcing, external supply options, and new‑product introductions.
• Analyze procurement data, market dynamics, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost, speed, and value improvements.
• Support and negotiate supplier agreements involving formula‑based pricing, Tier II transparency, feedstocks, indices, and other commercial models.
• Advance procurement digitalization by leveraging automation, data analytics, pricing tools, SAP, and AI‑enabled solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing or category management, preferably in filling, chemical, or third‑party services.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market trends and cost drivers.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills across manufacturing, R&D, marketing, finance, and supply‑chain functions.
