Procurement Officer – East Central Regional Hospital

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a Procurement Officer to support the East Central Regional Hospital. Working under supervision, you will contribute to the efficient acquisition of goods and services that enable high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional‑level category support across a range of procurement activities.
• Assist in ongoing category management and vendor performance monitoring.
• Support the procurement team to ensure compliance with state regulations and internal policies.

Required profile

• Associate degree in accounting, business or a related field, or a technical diploma with relevant coursework.
• At least one year of experience in a procurement environment or in a lower‑level procurement position (e.g., Procurement Agent Trainee, Procurement Technician).
• Ability to obtain any required Georgia Procurement Manual certifications.

Required skills

• Knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management.
• Familiarity with state procurement regulations and category management.
