Procurement Engineer – New Product Development

About the role

In this role you will drive Advanced Development and New Product Development (PDLM) projects to industrialize the supplier base for new innovation projects and manage product cost roadmaps for released products.

Key responsibilities

• Lead new product sourcing strategy and execution, developing sourcing plans in I2M Planner and meeting cost, quality, risk, and total cost of ownership targets.
• Manage supplier engagement and sourcing governance, assembling NPI Bill of Materials, leading RFP activities through Ariba e‑RFQ, and presenting recommendations to Sourcing Boards.
• Drive supplier innovation and Design for Excellence initiatives to improve product cost, quality, and risk profiles.
• Influence product design by promoting standardization, platforming, and component simplification across product lines.
• Oversee product launch readiness, supplier capacity planning, phase‑in/phase‑out execution, and production ramp‑up activities.

Required profile

• 2+ years experience leading procurement and sourcing activities for new product introductions in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations, R&D, Quality, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
