Principal Product Manager – Technical

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Principal Product Manager – Technical to lead the vision and delivery of its Switching solutions platform. The role combines product strategy, technical design, and cross‑functional collaboration to create secure, scalable payment services.

Key responsibilities

• Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap based on business needs, market opportunities and technology trends.
• Work with Technical Program Managers, developers, UX designers and internal customers to translate requirements into features and services.
• Identify and mitigate short‑ and medium‑term risks, monitor feature development, defects and key performance indicators.
• Lead post‑launch reviews, gather customer feedback and drive continuous improvement.
• Represent Mastercard with external stakeholders during escalations and strategic roadmap discussions.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering complex technology products in a fast‑moving, high‑growth environment.
• Strong ability to use data and metrics to build business cases and make trade‑off decisions.
• Demonstrated leadership in matrixed, cross‑functional teams and ability to influence senior executives.
• Experience with cloud‑based platforms, microservice architectures and DevOps operating models.
