Principal Engineer - Semiconductor Verification

About the role

NXP is hiring a Principal Engineer in its Chandler office. The role covers semiconductor engineering design, development and testing for firm products and devices used in the electronic communications industry, including digital functional verification of mixed-signal circuit designs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform semiconductor engineering design, development and testing for firm products and devices, working with product development for the electronic communications industry.
• Participate in the digital functional verification of NXP's mixed-signal circuit designs.
• Develop the UVM simulation environment (drivers, monitors, checkers and assertions) and bridge it with mixed-signal verification.
• Develop and run digital and top-level simulations according to the verification plan.
• Collaborate with design leaders to define the IP test specification.
• Study the device under test specification and ensure 100% coverage before tape-out.
• Create and maintain regression test suites, report bugs, propose solutions, follow up on their resolution, and prepare and hold design verification reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering (including related fields such as VLSI or Physics), or a foreign equivalent or related field.
• Five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as an engineer, design engineer, verification engineer or in a closely related field.

• ARM processor with multi-processor interaction
• Serial communication protocols (I2C, SPI, SPMI, UART)
• SOC testbench and System Verilog
• UVM verification and GLS simulations and debug features
• ASIC design verification, regression management and artifact tracking
• C-based test development and SPI interface

Salary: $174,070 per year.
