About the role

The Prevailing Wage Porter ensures the physical aspects of the community are maintained, keeping grounds, amenities, and curb appeal at high standards while supporting service team members.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings, keeping common areas and amenities neat.
• Remove trash from vacant apartments before the make‑ready process and maintain storage areas.
• Complete minor and routine service requests as directed by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager and assist the make‑ready specialist.
• Change all locks according to property policy and ensure pool gates meet safety codes.
• Distribute notices and communications to residents as needed.
• Report any hazards or dangerous situations to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions, and handle maintenance complaints sensitively.
• Follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings, complete OSHA training, and report accidents accurately.
