Preschool Teacher

About the role

The Preschool Teacher will lead children aged 2½‑5½ in a Reggio‑Emilia inspired, nature‑based program. The role focuses on fostering curiosity, creativity and a love of learning through play, projects and exploration.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain safe, clean indoor and outdoor learning environments.
• Plan and prepare provocations and natural materials that stimulate exploration.
• Document children’s learning through observation notes and prepare materials for parent conferences.
• Provide guidance and supervision, ensuring developmentally appropriate practices.
• Participate in professional development and apply new learning in the classroom.

Required profile

• High school diploma (Bachelors preferred) and teaching permit or 12 ECE units.
• Minimum three years of experience working with young children.
• Ability to work with diverse cultural and economic backgrounds using inclusive strategies.
• Pass fingerprint clearance, TB test, physical, immunizations and complete required training (CPR, First Aid, Mandated Reporter, Sexual Harassment).

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer software and applications needed for documentation and communication.
