Preschool Assistant Teacher – Support Lead Teacher

About the role

The Preschool Assistant Teacher works alongside the lead teacher to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. You will support daily instruction, supervise activities, and help each child meet developmental goals in line with the ISP curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in delivering lesson plans, educational games and learning activities.
• Monitor children during classroom time, play, meals and outdoor periods to ensure safety and positive behavior.
• Help prepare and organize learning materials, displays and classroom resources.
• Maintain a clean, hazard‑free environment by sanitizing toys, surfaces and equipment.
• Provide one‑on‑one or small‑group support for children needing extra assistance.
• Observe children’s development and communicate observations to the lead teacher.
• Support daily routines such as arrivals, departures, toileting, meals and rest time.
