Preconstruction Services Manager - South Central Region

About the role

Harmon, Inc. is looking for a Preconstruction Services Manager for the South Central Region. The role leads the preconstruction sales effort, helping Harmon meet its sales goals through superior bid execution with operating unit leaders and the Preconstruction Services support team. It involves developing key client relationships and supporting their preconstruction activities throughout the sales lifecycle, from product selection and system design to project schedules, budgeting and proposal requests.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preconstruction sales effort and drive business development within the assigned market region.
• Manage the bid procurement process, ensuring clarity and alignment across finance, estimating, engineering, manufacturing, operations and management.
• Execute budgets, bid estimates and sales proposals.
• Track and update management regularly on sales opportunities.
• Deliver sales at acceptable levels of profitability using critical thinking, analytical ability and business acumen.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Sales and Marketing, Business or a related field.
• At least 5 years of related work experience in project management, engineering or sales with a curtain wall subcontractor or manufacturer, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Curtain wall and/or glazing experience is required.

Required skills

• Ability to read structural and architectural drawings and understand specification documents.
• Competence in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Bluebeam, Revit Viewer, Sketch-Up and Adobe InDesign.
• Strong relationship building, critical thinking, mathematical reasoning, time management and communication/presentation skills.
