About the role
This entry‑level laboratory position at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus supports the Pathology department by handling specimens and ensuring timely, accurate processing for patient diagnosis.
Key responsibilities
- Retrieve, sort, track, verify receipt of and deliver specimens.
- Comply with safety standard operating procedures and regulations.
- Perform basic clerical and problem‑solving functions.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and communicate essential information.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred: six months of patient care experience.
- Preferred: experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
Required skills
- Manual dexterity for specimen handling.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit for extended periods and lift up to 25 lb.
- Visual acuity, including color discrimination.
- Use of personal protective equipment as defined in exposure control plan.
