Practical Nursing Part-time Instructor

About the role

Columbus Technical College is seeking a part‑time adjunct instructor to teach in its Practical Nursing program. The instructor will deliver classroom and lab instruction, evaluate student progress, and help maintain program accreditation.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, labs, and clinical simulations for Practical Nursing students.
• Develop course outlines, goals, and objectives in line with state standards.
• Assess and document student performance and progress.
• Maintain safety and security protocols in training labs.
• Prepare and submit required documentation, reports, and accreditation paperwork.
• Participate in staff development workshops, seminars, and conferences.
• Assist with student recruitment, retention, and job placement activities.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Current Georgia RN license (or eNLC‑eligible).
• Minimum three years of recent RN practice within the past seven years.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 50 lb unassisted.
• Willingness to teach on‑ or off‑campus across multiple counties.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
