Postdoctoral Research Associate – Hydrogen Electrocatalysis

About the role

The Postdoctoral Research Associate will lead projects focused on hydrogen electrocatalysis and magnetic property investigations within the Department of Chemistry. The position involves designing, synthesizing, and evaluating novel inorganic compounds while maintaining a safe laboratory environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, synthesize, and evaluate hydrogen electrocatalysts and magnetic materials.
• Conduct experimental laboratory research, including inorganic synthesis and physical characterization.
• Attend scientific meetings, present results, and stay current with literature.
• Mentor graduate and undergraduate students and assist in manuscript and proposal preparation.
• Maintain laboratory instrumentation and adhere to safety standards.

Required profile

• PhD in Chemistry or a closely related field.
• Ability to multitask, work cooperatively, and contribute to a diverse team.
• Knowledge of synthetic chemistry and physical methods for characterizing redox and spin‑active molecules.
