About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Ophthalmic Research Lab, led by Dr. Phoebe Lin, seeks a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to conduct independent research on ocular immunology, uveitis, age‑related macular degeneration, and related microbiome and metabolome studies.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and execute independent research projects, including data generation, analysis, interpretation, and manuscript preparation.
  • Perform flow cytometry experiments and analyze results.
  • Utilize animal models of macular degeneration and uveitis.
  • Conduct single‑cell RNA sequencing and microbiome sequencing.

Required profile

  • PhD or MD/PhD in a relevant scientific discipline (MD with relevant lab experience may substitute).
  • Demonstrated commitment to rigorous, reproducible research and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous research experience in an academic or laboratory setting, including scientific writing.
