Postdoctoral Fellow – Feixiong Cheng Lab

About the role

The Feixiong Cheng Lab at Cleveland Clinic’s Genome Center seeks highly motivated postdoctoral fellows to conduct experimental or computational research on complex human diseases, especially Alzheimer’s disease and brain health.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute functional genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics or metabolomics experiments, or develop computational pipelines to analyze large‑scale molecular data.
• Integrate molecular findings with patient datasets, collaborate with physicians, geneticists and other scientists on institutionally and federally funded projects.

Required profile

• PhD or MD/PhD in a relevant field (bioinformatics, genomics, computational biology, molecular biology, etc.).
• Strong communication skills, collaborative work ethic and proficiency in spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Experimental: CRISPR, Prime editing, iPSC‑derived neuronal/microglial/astrocyte models, brain organoids, functional genomics.
• Computational: Python, R, Perl, C++, Java, machine learning, deep learning, high‑performance computing, analysis of bulk and single‑cell DNA/RNA sequencing data.
