About the role
The Commercial Portfolio Manager monitors the bank's commercial loan portfolio, ensuring accurate risk ratings, compliance with credit policies, and adherence to banking regulations. The role works closely with relationship managers and internal teams, with construction loan experience preferred.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor credit performance of commercial borrowers and escalate issues as needed.
- Prepare timely reports on portfolio monitoring, including financial statement collection, covenant testing, collateral valuation, and delinquency analysis.
- Engage with customers to discuss operating performance, covenant compliance, and business trends.
- Collect and analyze credit and financial information, build financial models, and document cash flows and risk assessments.
- Assist with annual reviews, renewals, interim updates, and early warning indicator monitoring.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field preferred.
- Relevant experience in commercial lending, credit analysis, or public accounting.
- Strong analytical, organizational and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple responsibilities.
Required skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Financial analysis and modeling.
