Porter – Student Living Community

About the role

The Porter is responsible for maintaining the appearance and safety of The Varsity student‑living community in College Park. The role supports the service team by keeping common areas clean, handling minor service requests, and ensuring security standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, pet droppings and keep all common areas and amenities tidy.
• Remove trash from vacant apartments before the make‑ready process, transport it to dumpsters or storage areas, and maintain those storage spaces.
• Complete assigned minor and routine service requests and assist the make‑ready specialist during apartment turnovers.
• Change all locks according to property policy and verify that pool gates operate according to code and safety standards.
• Distribute notices and communications to residents as needed.
• Report any hazards or dangerous situations to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions, and respond sensitively to maintenance complaints.
• Follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings, complete required OSHA training, and report accidents accurately.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Commitment to safety and risk‑management procedures, including participation in safety meetings and OSHA training.

• Hourly pay ranging from $17.00 to $19.00.
