Polymer Product Realization Team Lead (Scientist 2/3)

About the role

The Scientist 2/3 will lead the Polymer Product Realization Team supporting the W93/Mk7 program at Los Alamos National Laboratory. This position drives the development, testing, and delivery of polymer components for a critical national security mission.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, coordination, and status reporting for polymer component product realization.
• Manage design, development, testing, qualification, and realization activities.
• Oversee technical scope, deliverables, requirements, interfaces, and schedules.
• Collaborate with internal LANL teams, production agencies, design agencies, and external customers.
• Report technical status and ensure delivery of producible, Mark Quality designs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 4 years of technical, research, engineering, or national laboratory experience.
• Experience in polymer, materials, chemistry, or related product realization work.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance (active Q or equivalent DoD clearance preferred).
• Willingness to travel domestically as required.
