About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Plumber II to join its Campus Operations Plumbing team. This full‑time, onsite position supports the maintenance and repair of plumbing systems across the medical campus, ensuring safe and reliable services for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures, piping, and related equipment in clinical and administrative buildings.
• Perform routine inspections, troubleshoot issues, and respond to emergency service calls.
• Collaborate with facilities staff to plan and execute preventive maintenance programs.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and compliance with safety regulations.
• Assist in the procurement of parts and supplies needed for plumbing projects.

Required profile

• Valid plumbing certification or journeyman license.
• Experience working in a large facility or institutional environment, preferably in healthcare.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of local plumbing codes and safety standards.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work flexible shifts as needed.
