Electrical Supervisor

About the role

The Electrical Supervisor leads the maintenance of electrical systems for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. This role ensures safe, reliable operation of building energy management and medium‑voltage distribution equipment across campus facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise a team of skilled and semi‑skilled electrical workers, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance on building energy management systems and medium‑voltage distribution networks.
• Ensure all work complies with state and federal regulations, university policies, and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records of work orders, inspections, and equipment performance.
• Respond to emergency electrical issues and provide technical guidance to staff.

Required profile

• Associate/Vo‑Tech/Trade degree or equivalent.
• Arkansas Electrical Journeyman License (required).
• Minimum five (5) years of hands‑on experience operating, maintaining, and repairing building energy management systems.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: Master Electrician license, experience with 13,800‑volt medium‑voltage distribution, and prior supervisory experience.
