PLM Systems Administrator (Siemens Teamcenter)

About the role

Shield AI, a defense-tech company, is looking for a PLM Systems Administrator to support and maintain its PLM ecosystem, with a primary focus on Siemens Teamcenter. The role covers day-to-day administration, user support and continuous improvement of PLM systems that enable engineering and manufacturing workflows. It is a hands-on position based in Dallas, TX.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, support and maintain PLM systems, primarily Siemens Teamcenter
• Configure, upgrade, patch and maintain PLM environments (production and test)
• Support multi-tier PLM architecture (web, enterprise, database layers)
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot and resolve incidents affecting engineering users
• Manage environments, including refreshes, deployments and basic automation of repeatable tasks
• Help implement new features, modules and enhancements
• Support engineering users with issue resolution, training and documentation
• Collaborate with infrastructure, engineering and business systems teams on ERP, MES and other integrations
• Maintain documentation, runbooks and standard operating procedures

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3-5 years of experience administering or supporting PLM systems (Teamcenter preferred)
• Knowledge of PLM concepts such as product structures, workflows and lifecycle management
• Experience with Windows and/or Linux server environments
• Familiarity with system administration basics (patching, monitoring, backups, troubleshooting)
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills, able to work cross-functionally

Preferred qualifications

• Hands-on Teamcenter experience (installation, configuration, support)
• CAD integrations (NX, SolidWorks, CATIA)
• Scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python)
• Cloud or virtualization exposure (Azure, VMware)
• Engineering or manufacturing environment experience
• Fast-paced, high-growth or defense-related background
