Plant Engineering Supervisor

About the role

As a Plant Engineering Supervisor at 3m, you will lead a team of contractors and technicians to ensure a safe, healthy and sustainable manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for planning and executing preventative maintenance, improving equipment reliability, and supporting cost‑reduction initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and sustainable workplace.
• Supervise and coordinate contractor resources daily.
• Plan and execute preventative maintenance activities for facility equipment.
• Identify and drive improvements in equipment reliability.
• Provide technical guidance to site personnel.
• Support cost‑reduction programs and equipment effectiveness projects.
• Communicate project status and results to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree + 3 years manufacturing experience, or High School + 6 years experience.
• Secondary degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred.
• At least 5 years of manufacturing maintenance/reliability experience.
• Experience coaching and mentoring technicians.
• Project‑management experience with electrical or mechanical background.
• Knowledge of Environmental and Regulatory Compliance, NFPA and OSHA standards.
• Relevant certifications (CRL, CMM, CMRP, RE, CAMA) are a plus.
