Senior Automation & Controls Engineer

About the role

The Senior Automation & Controls Engineer will design, implement, and support automation and control systems across Cresco Labs' manufacturing, packaging, and laboratory environments. This role focuses on improving equipment reliability, throughput, and data visibility while ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, program, and maintain PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
• Develop and support control systems for extraction, distillation, formulation, and automated packaging lines.
• Integrate new equipment and standardize control architectures across multiple sites.
• Drive automation initiatives that enhance efficiency, consistency, and traceability.
• Ensure all control solutions meet regulatory and quality requirements.
• Provide technical leadership to direct and indirect reports.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
• Proven experience in automation and controls within a manufacturing or processing environment.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and quality standards.
• Ability to lead technical teams and collaborate across functions.
