Planning List Administrator – Region 3 Field Office (Atlanta)

About the role

The State of Georgia’s Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Planning List Administrator for its Region 3 Field Office in Atlanta. This field‑based position supports individuals eligible for NOW or COMP Medicaid waivers across multiple counties.

Key responsibilities

• Assist prioritized individuals and families with waiver service entry documentation.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of local resources and refer non‑waiver supports.
• Communicate with clients, families, and authorized parties to gather and update needs information.
• Participate in regional planning list meetings and support team collaboration.
• Guide families through Medicaid applications and help clients select service providers.
• Develop and sustain a network of community contacts for referrals.
• Monitor planning‑list clients with significant health needs and coordinate Medicaid state‑plan supports.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and DBHDD confidentiality policies.
• Report any suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation as required.
• Assist with State Service Coordination tasks when needed.

Required profile

• Experience or knowledge of individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• Familiarity with Medicaid waivers (NOW, COMP) and DBHDD policies.
• Strong communication skills tailored to varied abilities and family dynamics.
• Ability to travel within Metro Atlanta and work in a field‑based environment.
