Physician - MS/Neuro Immunology Neurologist

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible neurologist specialized in MS/Neuro‑Immunology to join its clinical team. The physician will provide comprehensive patient care, collaborate with interdisciplinary staff, and uphold Ochsner’s core values of Patients First, Integrity, Compassion, Inclusivity, Teamwork and Excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Examine patients, diagnose clinical conditions, and prescribe appropriate medications and treatment regimens.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Document patient encounters accurately in the Electronic Health Record and ensure proper coding of all visits.
• Request additional evaluations, make referrals, and handle hazardous drug procedures as required.

Required profile

• Board certified or eligible for certification in Neurology (or related primary specialty).
• Licensed MD or DO with credentialing and willingness to maintain clinical practice.
• Commitment to professional standards, teamwork, and compliance with federal, state and accreditation regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Experience prescribing pharmaceuticals and managing hazardous drug handling.
• Accurate medical coding and documentation skills.
