Physical Therapy Assistant – Rehab Services (Kings Hwy)

About the role

The Physical Therapy Assistant will deliver routine treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, providing direct patient care after evaluation and documenting progress. This position supports the Rehab Services team at the Kings Hwy facility.

Key responsibilities

• Perform physical therapy treatments as prescribed by the physician and supervised by a licensed PT.
• Communicate and document any changes in patient status and inform the therapist for reassessment.
• Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with documentation standards.
• Participate in staff and committee projects and meet productivity targets set by administration.
• Educate and train colleagues within the discipline.
• Adapt interactions to respect patient privacy and individual needs.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current PTA license in the state of practice or eligibility for licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.
