Physical Therapist - Acute Care

About the role

We evaluate patients and provide inpatient physical therapy treatment programs based upon physician orders. The therapist collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure patients transition to the appropriate post‑acute or home care level and achieve their specific goals.

Key responsibilities

• Perform patient evaluations and develop treatment programs aligned with physician orders.
• Assess patient response to therapy and modify treatment plans to improve outcomes and maintain safety.
• Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with documentation standards.
• Ensure treatment protocols support hospital quality and safety targets.
• Adapt communication and procedures to respect patient privacy and individual needs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy.
• Current physical therapy license in the state of practice or eligibility for licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
