About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Physical Therapy is seeking a part‑time Physical Therapist IV to provide advanced rehabilitation services in Kendall, FL. This senior‑level position involves leading multidisciplinary teams, mentoring junior clinicians, and contributing to clinical program development and research.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of new patients, set complex goals, and design advanced treatment plans.
• Guide patients through progressive levels of therapy to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Document evaluations, treatments, and patient interactions with high accuracy.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and treatment plans.
• Maintain effective communication with the rehabilitation team and physicians, recommending treatment adjustments.
• Lead quality‑and‑safety improvement initiatives.
• Supervise assistants, support staff, and physical‑therapy students, ensuring professional standards.
• Develop and deliver educational programs for staff, patients, and the community.
• Represent the university at national and international conferences.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree in a relevant field.
• Current certification and licensure in physical therapy.
• At least 10 years of relevant clinical experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in a specialized area of physical therapy.
