Pharmacy Technician Inpatient – Neuro Expansion

About the role

The Pharmacy Technician – Neurology supports one of the highest‑volume inpatient pharmacies at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, serving general inpatient care, sterile products, operating rooms, pediatrics and a growing neurology specialty. You will work closely with pharmacists, nurses and other caregivers to ensure safe, timely medication distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and label medications, perform both sterile and non‑sterile compounding, and repack medications as needed.
• Deliver medications to appropriate storage locations accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits and nursing unit inspections.
• Document regulatory requirements such as temperature logs and scheduled activities.
• Utilize EPIC, Pyxis, carousel systems and MAR messaging to complete tasks.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED and at least six months of related experience or completion of a Pharmacy Technician Program.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA and active Ohio Board of Pharmacy registration.
• Ability to work variable day/evening shifts and every third weekend.

Required skills

• Proficiency with EPIC, Pyxis, carousel and MAR messaging systems.
• Experience in sterile and non‑sterile compounding, including IV sterile compounding.
• Inventory management and audit procedures.
• Understanding of algebraic calculations for extemporaneous compounds.
