Pharmacy Clinical Specialist – Pediatric Critical Care

About the role

The Pharmacy Clinical Specialist – Pediatric Critical Care provides advanced clinical pharmacy services for critically ill pediatric patients at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus. This role supports the PICU and provides coverage across NICU, PCICU, and evening pediatric critical care services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pharmaceutical care and therapeutic drug monitoring for neonatal and pediatric intensive care patients.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists and other caregivers during interdisciplinary rounds.
• Manage medication therapy, including dosing, adjustments, and safety monitoring.
• Provide drug information and education to staff, patients, and families.
• Participate in a rotating weekend and holiday schedule to ensure continuous coverage.

Required profile

• PharmD or Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (or eligibility within 90 days of hire).
• Current BLS certification; ACLS or PALS certification as required.
• Completion of a PGY‑2 residency or fellowship, or PGY‑1 plus two years of clinical specialist experience, or four years of relevant experience.
