Per Diem Registered Nurse – Primary Care Clinic

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Primary Care Clinic in Boca Raton is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse to deliver patient‑family centered care in a culturally competent environment. This part‑time position supports the clinic’s mission to provide high‑quality, evidence‑based care to a diverse population.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and report changes in condition.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient response, physician orders, and diagnostic results.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments while respecting age and cultural considerations.
• Administer medications safely, maintain accurate medication records, and comply with regulatory guidelines.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and the care team, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with discharge planning and transition of care using available resources.
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff, providing guidance and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to university and unit policies, and operate medical equipment safely.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Valid State of Florida RN license.
• Demonstrated learning agility and ability to adapt to changing work demands.
