Research Assistant 1 – Full‑Time (Boca Raton)

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Neurology department seeks a full‑time Research Assistant 1 to support ongoing research studies in Boca Raton, FL. The role combines laboratory support, data management, and participant interaction while adhering to strict research protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate scientific apparatus, performing minor repairs as needed.
• Prepare correspondence, answer phones, and manage laboratory supplies and culture media.
• Maintain logs, study notebooks, and enter clinical data into study databases with high accuracy.
• Interact with research participants, ensuring protocols follow IRB approvals and Good Clinical Practices.

Required profile

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience; experience in psychology, neuroscience, or related disciplines preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SPSS.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience using REDCap for data capture.
