About the role

Ochsner Children’s Hospital is seeking a board‑certified/board‑eligible Pediatric Cardiologist to lead its inpatient cardiology service, including a 67‑bed Level IV NICU. The role combines direct patient care, teaching, and quality improvement activities.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead inpatient cardiology care and provide consultations for the NICU and pediatric cardiac intensive care unit.
  • Participate in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Engage in quality improvement and contribute data to national registries such as PC4 and PAC3.

Required profile

  • Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Pediatric Cardiology.
  • Experience in inpatient cardiac care, including NICU and cardiac ICU settings.
  • Commitment to academic medicine and collaborative multidisciplinary care.

Required skills

  • Inpatient pediatric cardiology management.
  • Interpretation of cardiac imaging (echocardiography, MRI, CT).
  • Familiarity with national cardiac quality registries (PC4, PAC3).
