Patient Service Specialist - CCSR

About the role

The Patient Service Specialist provides a proactive, "Patients First" experience for patients and visitors at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus. The role involves registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and ensuring a welcoming environment while supporting the clinic’s commitment to exceptional patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform patient registration, visit preparation, telephone triage, insurance verification, co‑pay collection, and scheduling.
• Enter and maintain confidential patient information and track patient records.
• Recruit, enroll, and educate patients on MyChart and Appointment Pass.
• Provide interpreter service coordination and assist with arrival/departure desk activities.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with two years of relevant experience, or an associate’s degree with one year of experience, or a bachelor’s degree.
• Strong customer service background and knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to work a variable schedule of at least 16 hours per pay period, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Required skills

• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Familiarity with MyChart and Appointment Pass platforms.
• Proficiency in operating a PC and standard office equipment.
