Patient Scheduler 2 – Interventional Radiology (Per Diem)

About the role

The Patient Scheduler 2 provides exceptional customer service by coordinating and scheduling complex interventional radiology exams and procedures for UHealth. The role involves direct interaction with patients, physicians, radiologists, and technologists to ensure smooth workflow.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule all types of complex radiology exams with attention to detail.
• Answer incoming calls and contact patients to confirm exam times and provide preparation instructions.
• Obtain, verify, and screen demographic and insurance information for accuracy.
• Utilize multiple scheduling software applications and network drives across UHealth entities.
• Review prior imaging reports and ensure compliance with scheduling protocols.
• Coordinate special procedures, labs, pre‑medication, and implant information as required.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent; relevant experience or certification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in patient scheduling or related healthcare coordination.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage high call volumes and provide clear patient education.

Required skills

• Proficiency with scheduling software and office computer applications.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and imaging procedures.
