Patient Care Nurse Assistant – Hematology/Oncology (Night Shift)

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Main Campus seeks a Night Shift Patient Care Nurse Assistant for its Hematology/Oncology Unit. You will support adult patients receiving chemotherapy, targeted therapies, and radiation, working under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Key responsibilities

• Measure vital signs, weight, and perform point‑of‑care testing.
• Assist patients with personal care, activities of daily living, and safe transfers.
• Apply and remove external monitoring devices, change dressings, and manage urinary Foley catheters.
• Maintain clean and orderly patient rooms.
• Report any abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings to the RN promptly.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or Red Cross) – must be obtained during new‑hire period if not already held.
• Military experience as a Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic, or Medical Service Technician is a plus.
• State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification is preferred.

Required skills

• Patient transfer and mobility assistance.
