Pastor of Youth and Families

About the role

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Pastor of Youth and Families will lead the church’s youth and family ministries, overseeing Bible teaching, discipleship, outreach, and leadership development. The role also includes serving on the pastoral team, preaching, teaching, counseling, and other pastoral duties.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and develop events that encourage middle and high school students to grow in their relationship with Christ.
• Build and maintain volunteer and student leader teams for teaching, mentoring, event planning, evangelism, and outreach.
• Provide pastoral care, biblical counsel, and spiritual guidance to students and families, and implement discipleship groups and mentoring programs.
• Oversee budget, event planning, communication, record‑keeping, and evaluation of youth and family ministries.
• Collaborate with church leadership and staff to align ministry plans with the overall mission of Central.
• Recruit, train, and develop volunteers for both children’s and youth ministries.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of pastoral ministry experience in a local church setting.
• Master of Divinity preferred or comparable theological education/training.
• Adherence to biblical elder qualifications (1 Timothy 3:1‑7; Titus 1:5‑9) and EPC confessional standards.
• Clear vision for student and family ministry with strong interpersonal and administrative abilities.
