Part‑Time Adult Education Student Services Assistant

About the role

Join Georgia Northwestern Technical College as a Part‑Time Adult Education Student Services Assistant on the Gordon County Campus. You will support adult learners by handling orientation, registration, assessments, and classroom assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide orientation, registration, and assessment support for new students.
• Verify student information, maintain and update student files.
• Proctor assessments and assist the instructor with student retention and progress tracking.
• Perform clerical duties such as answering phones, reviewing GALIS data, and printing reports.
• Request and maintain classroom and office supplies, and operate office equipment.
• Assist the instructor in the classroom as needed and perform other assigned duties.

Required profile

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of work‑related experience.
• Ability to become a notary.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of adult education policies and ability to assist students individually or in groups.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Experience with GALIS (Georgia Adult Learner Information System).
• Experience administering standardized tests.

What we offer

• Hourly wage of $16.00.
• Part‑time schedule: Monday‑Thursday, 2:45 pm – 7:00 pm, with occasional adjustments.
