Part-Time Security Officer - Visitor Check-In (Aerospace & Defense)

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a front-desk position at an aerospace and defense location in Salt Lake City, Utah. The officer acts as a welcoming, professional presence while monitoring access, verifying credentials and handling security-related concerns for employees and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, contractors and delivery personnel at the front desk.
• Handle site-specific security procedures: visitor registration, credential verification, access control and issuance of visitor badges as authorized.
• Monitor incoming calls, visitor activity and designated access points, escalating unusual activity according to established procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms and critical situations and notify the appropriate personnel or emergency responders.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, access records and incident documentation while keeping the reception area professional and welcoming.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• An active DoD Secret clearance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen as conditions of employment.
• A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.
