Field Site Inspector

About the role

Allied Universal Compliance and Investigations is hiring a Field Site Inspector in Salt Lake City, Utah. The inspector performs site visits for Medicare and Medicaid providers and suppliers, working independently to visit assigned locations, take photographs, conduct interviews, collect data and document findings according to approved guidelines and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct independent investigations of assigned cases in a specific geographic area.
• Document and report observations, activities and relevant information clearly and concisely using mobile devices (tablets and cell phones).
• Maintain confidentiality and follow legal and ethical standards during site inspections.
• Manage workload efficiently and on time to meet assignment deadlines.
• Review and verify credentials, including education, training, licensure and certification, for healthcare providers and facilities.
• Ensure providers meet their qualification requirements as listed on provider-specific site visit checklist forms.
• Collaborate with Desktop Inspectors and other operational staff on inspection performance and reporting.
• Present professionally and interact courteously with provider, supplier and facility staff.

Required profile

• Valid driver's license with at least one year of driving experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Flexibility to work varied and irregular hours and days, including weekends.
• Successful completion of the Allied Universal Investigations training and orientation course, plus all required site inspector training (initial and in-service).

Preferred qualifications

• Associate degree or higher, preferably in Criminal Justice.
• Prior insurance investigations or healthcare facility on-site inspections and compliance.
• Familiarity with industry regulations such as NCQA, The Joint Commission, or Medicare provider enrollment.
• Effective public speaking and communication skills.
