Part-Time Night Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

About the role

Temecula Valley Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department on a part‑time night schedule. You will provide comprehensive patient assessments and deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in a fast‑paced emergency setting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform timely and accurate physical, psychological, and social assessments for emergency patients.
• Identify pain, skin integrity issues, fall risks, and other critical health concerns.
• Document assessments and communicate findings to the care team.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to implement care plans.

Required profile

• Minimum one (1) year of Emergency or Critical Care experience in an acute‑care facility.
• Current California RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• NIHSS certification to be obtained within the first five days of hire.
• CEN certification encouraged; CPI certification required within 90 days of hire.

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) – encouraged
• CPI (Certified Professional in Infection Control) – within 90 days
