Part-Time Lecturer Pool – French

About the role

The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at CSU Fullerton is creating a pool of part‑time French lecturers. Selected candidates will be called upon to teach undergraduate courses covering French language, culture, literature, linguistics, and film, ranging from beginner to advanced levels.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate instruction in at least two French‑related subject areas.
• Prepare syllabi, assignments, and assessments aligned with departmental standards.
• Be available on short notice for semester‑start appointments.
• Engage a culturally diverse student body, including first‑generation college students.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in French or related field for 100‑ and 200‑level courses.
• Ph.D. candidacy (ABD) for 300‑level courses.
• Ph.D. in French or related field for 400‑level courses.
• Native‑like fluency in French.
• Legal right to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship).
