About the role
The State of Georgia is seeking a part‑time Health Aide to support patients at the Forensics I unit of East Central Regional Hospital in Augusta. Working night shifts, you will assist under direct supervision to provide basic patient care and help clients develop daily living skills.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with medication administration, take vital signs, and draw blood or collect other bodily fluids as directed.
- Provide personal care such as feeding, dressing, bedpan management, and supervising exercise routines.
- Transport or accompany clients to treatment areas using a wheelchair or stretcher.
- Conduct recreational and social activities, ensure client safety, and document observations.
Required profile
- Ability to work under direct supervision and learn on the job.
- Commitment to providing compassionate care to physically or developmentally disabled patients.
Required skills
- Basic patient care techniques, including vital sign measurement.
- Experience or training in drawing blood and handling bodily fluids.
