Part-Time Desktop Support Technician

About the role

Oak View Group is looking for an entry‑level Desktop Support Technician to join the IT team at the Moody Center in Austin. This part‑time position serves as the first point of contact for employees, handling hardware, software and network issues while supporting venue events. The role offers hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced entertainment environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers and mobile devices.
• Configure, deploy and update computers using standard imaging and provisioning processes.
• Assist users with basic network connectivity, VPN setup and Wi‑Fi configuration.
• Escalate unresolved issues to Tier 2/3 teams or external vendors.
• Work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, holidays and extended event days.

Required profile

• Motivated, detail‑oriented individual with strong problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to lift 50 + pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing and walking through the venue.
• Willingness to work varied schedules to support events.
