Part-time Adult ESL Instructor – North Metro Campus

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a part‑time Adult Education ESL Instructor for the North Metro Campus in Acworth. You will deliver English as a Second Language instruction to adult learners during evening classes, helping them achieve language proficiency and integrate into the community.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans aligned with English Language Proficiency Standards.
• Teach reading, writing, speaking, listening, civics, workplace skills, and American culture.
• Provide learner guidance, orient students, and monitor attendance.
• Evaluate student progress using TABE Clas‑E tests and other assessments.
• Maintain classroom security, confidentiality of student information, and required documentation.
• Submit retention reports and analyze data for program improvement.

• Ability to create lesson plans that meet English Language Proficiency Standards.
